Dr. Katie Lundquist’s passion for helping animals began as a young child.
She was born and raised in Williamsburg, Iowa. She received her Bachelor’s in Animal Science from Iowa State University. She continued on at ISU to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2018. Dr. Katie practiced large and small animal medicine in the Quad City area for 2 years after graduation. Then, family and her love for Cyclone athletics brought Dr. Katie back to central Iowa and she joined Ankeny Veterinary Clinic in January 2020.
Dr. Katie is dedicated to making sure owners feel empowered, educated, and supported when it comes to their pet’s health. Her areas of interest include dentistry, dermatology, and pain management. She is a strong advocate for early intervention of osteoarthritis, including the ability to provide joint injections for a multi-modal approach to pain relief.
Aside from her career as a veterinarian she, her husband (who’s also a veterinarian), and their two kids enjoy spending time with their herd of creatures great and small on a nearby acreage. Her hobbies include gardening, horseback riding, reading, and doing renovations on their century-old farmhouse.
